The Software Engineer Apprentice will support the design, development, testing and implementation of software solutions used within immersive and synthetic training environments. Working as part of a multidisciplinary software team, the apprentice will contribute to a variety of projects while developing technical skills, industry knowledge and professional experience within a highly innovative defence technology environment.
Due to continued growth and expansion, MVR is seeking a motivated and ambitious individual to join our Engineering Team as a Software Engineer Apprentice.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to begin or further develop a career in software engineering whilst gaining hands-on experience working on real-world defence and simulation projects alongside experienced engineers and technical specialists.
The successful candidate will undertake a structured apprenticeship programme in partnership with the University of Chichester, combining academic study with practical workplace experience
The successful candidate will complete the Software Engineer Apprenticeship delivered in partnership with the University of Chichester.

Your role will be to structure and deliver XR projects for clients in both the defence and private sectors, with a focus on Unreal Engine development
Your role will be to convert technical concepts and architectures into working prototypes, reusable components, documented integrations, and delivery-ready solution

Security Clearance: Successful candidates must be eligible to obtain SC (Security Check) clearance and be willing to undergo DV (Developed Vetting) clearance.
