Reports to: The Director of Business Delivery 

Salary: £60,000 – £80,000 (dependant on experience) Band 4/5 

Successful candidate must be able to obtain SC (Security Check) clearance and be willing to undergo DV (Developed Vetting) clearance.

The Role

Reporting to the Director of Business Delivery, the Training and Requirements Lead supports MVR projects and programmes by defining customer and solution requirements and conducting acceptance activities. The role ensures that training, education, and learning solutions are delivered efficiently and effectively, covering end-to-end processes for Defence customers (in accordance with JSP 822) as well as other UK and international Defence and Security clients.

 

Key Responsibilities

Consultancy:

  • Conduct Training Needs Analysis (TNA) including scoping reports, task analysis, gap analysis, training options analysis, and training reports/studies.
  • Support customers in articulating requirements and documenting them in User Requirements Documents (URD), Systems/Service Requirements Documents (SRD), and Statements of Requirements (SOR), plus associated concept and acceptance documents.
  • Support Business Development in producing solutions and service proposals, Statements of Work (SoW), and supporting technical descriptions of training solutions.

 

Delivery: 

  • Support Project Managers with training advice and input for project plans/schedules, milestones, deliverables, and formal acceptance plans (e.g., Integrated Test Evaluation and Acceptance Plan, ITEAP).
  • Support the Delivery Team in designing and developing training solutions.
  • Manage the conduct of project training design activities.
  • Collaborate with the Engineering Team on quality assurance of solutions and services, including formal acceptance events.
  • Make recommendations for formal acceptance of MVR solutions to the Project Manager, Head of Engineering, and Director of Learning & Innovation.
  • Work with customers to develop requirements and acceptance deliverables.
  • Support bid and business development activities from a requirements and acceptance perspective.
  • Manage and support requirements and acceptance teams and contractors.
  • Represent MVR at training and simulation conferences and exhibitions.
  • Support simulation, virtual, and conventional training solutions.

 

Specialist Knowledge and Essential Skills

Essential:

  • Project and programme management
  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM subject
  • Completion of MoD DSAT Training Courses
  • Completion of MoD Introduction to Defence Simulation
  • Requirements & Acceptance Management
  • Delivering training consultancy services for customers, projects, and internally
  • Writing requirements and acceptance documents
  • Design, delivery, and assurance of training and training solutions
  • Requirements and acceptance management
  • Product/service through-life management

 

Desirable:

  • Experience supporting wider activities, including organisational development and research & development (R&D) initiatives.
