The MVR Academy is part of MVR’s commitment to developing future talent and supporting early careers in virtual reality and immersive technologies. Designed for students aged 13–24, the programme provides opportunities to gain real-world experience and insight into the VR industry.
Each year, MVR offers work experience placements, giving students the opportunity to work alongside experienced VR professionals and gain hands-on exposure to the technologies, tools, and processes used within the sector.
As well as work experience opportunities, the MVR Academy supports two under graduate placements, providing a pathway for students completing higher education to transition into professional roles within the industry.
Through the MVR Academy, MVR aims to ignite interest in immersive technology, nurture emerging talent, and create meaningful pathways into careers in virtual reality.

The MVR Academy is open to students between the ages of 13-24 and residents of the UK
Each student will have a bespoke approach depending on where they are within their educational journey. All students, placements, graduates, and apprentices will work in line with the Working Time Directive.
The MVR Academy is based in Portsmouth, Hampshire.
